I’m not even going to sound happy about this, but I finally received my console today. Seems to work fine, although the drive made some funny noises at one point. Well, let’s see how it goes. I was promised that they would have it back to me 17 days ago, and, not surprisingly, I’m not the only one who has had problems with a 360 console.

I received this e-mail today:

Thank you for my patience? Why don’t you stick stupid remarks like that up your ass and frickin’ apologize to me instead. As mentioned I was promised compensation, and guess what, it’s pure crap. I can choose between three games: Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo and some other crappy game. It’s fucking launch titles which are more than 1,5 years old! God damn it.

I called customer support today, and guess what, my console is still at the repair center in Germany. The swedish supporter couldn't tell me when I can expect to receive it, she did promise me compensation for the bad service though. I'm supposed to call them again when I receive it, and the size of the compensation will depend on how long I've been waiting. One free year of Xbox Live Gold? Well, thank you very much Microsoft, looks like you don't suck so much after all.

UPS picked up the console today, which means I should have it back before the 12th of June, so I’ll probably miss the Halo 3 beta. Do I feel stupid about buying Crackdown now? Yup.
