Lost season 3

Spoilers ahead.

The third season of Lost is finally airing on Danish television at the moment, so I thought I'd tell you what I think about the season so far, seeing as I've been watching it since the American premiere. Overall I still very much enjoy the show, the latest episodes have been very interesting in particular. Once in a while you get tired of all the loose ends, and seeing as it's J J Abrams who's the creator, the show may end as a infinite number of seasons (kinda like Alias), creating more cliffhangers than solving old ones, which is my biggest fear for the show at the moment. I find the more supernatural parts of the show, such as Desmond's ability to foresee the future and of course, the big black, shadowy, Eko-killing thing, a bit annoying, but they will hopefully be explained as well, at some point.
The whole discovery of The Others, their village, submarine, etc. is very exciting, and primarily the aspects about The Others is what keeps me glued to the tv when the show is airing.

My first PS3 experience

The local games shop in town had put up a PlayStation 3, so I got to play a little MotorStorm and some Formula 1 game. The console was running on a Sony Bravia LCD-TV with 720p. The employee immediately started bullshitting me about the incredible 1080p resolution he had seen at some Sony conference a few days earlier, too bad no games are able to use it yet numbnuts. Anyway…

Hardware
I actually don’t like the controller that much, the trigger buttons seemed a bit slippery, seeing as the buttons themselves are turning outwards and not in, which is the case with the Xbox 360 controller, which I like better overall, mostly because it has a better grip. I still prefer the design and D-pad of the DualShock 2 though. The design of the console itself is pretty neat too, pretty big, but doesn’t seem that much bigger (or smaller) than the 360.

Interface
The interface seems good enough, I’m used to it on the PSP, and didn’t get enough chance to browse around with it to be sure of what I think about it.

Games
As I mentioned I tried MotorStorm, and what a disappointment, the graphics don’t really look next-gen, and even though it was running in 720p I wasn’t impressed with the details. Same goes for the Formula 1 game, God I hate that genre.

Gamespot hates me

Wanted to fiddle with my game-trackings on Gamespot, but when I logged in I was met with this screen:

I have no idea what I've done, anyway, they keep sending me the updates and now I can't disable them, because I don't have access to my preferences page, yay. Funny text though, the 'You Are Dead' picture is from Resident Evil, right?

PC + LCD TV = FUN!

My TV has a VGA port, which makes it possible to use the TV as a PC-monitor, never thought I would use it much, but it’s actually great! The quality is incredible; I’ve been playing Day of Defeat: Source and LoTR: Online on it, both look awesome. I also tried watching some episodes of Lost in High-Definition I’ve got on my PC, and holy shit, it looks fantastic. I don’t think it’s actually showing it in High-Definition though, I hope some of you may be able to clarify it, don’t I need a HD-videocard or something? Still looks amazing, I’ve taken a couple of snapshots and even though it’s a picture taken of the TV you can still see the incredible details.

I've been watching a lot of movies lately, I neglected the local cinema way too much last year, and I've been trying to catch up recently.

Intriguing and surprising story, typical Nolan, great acting.

Great movie, I like the different stories that don't seem to have much in common, but do when you think a bit about it.

I was actually disappointed by The Departed, it's surrounded by a lot of hype, winning the Academy Award and all, and that probably got my hopes up too high. Not a bad movie, but not as great as I had hoped.

Sweet and interesting story, probably Will Ferrell's best role.

Just as horrific as I expected.

You don't really expect much from Crank, after reading the plot outline, a guy needs to keep his adrenalin running or he will die. This creates a lot of interesting and fun situations, and that's all you get.
