I've been thinking about buying comics for a while now. I've finally ordered Astonishing X-Men volume one and two, written by the genious Joss Whedon, creator of the best Tv-show ever made; Firefly. The book contains 12 comics and I had to pay 265 DKK for it, at Play.com, which was a lot cheaper than the alternative, the danish webshop Faraos Cigarer, where it costs 498 DKK, so I'll probably survive one or two weeks of waiting time.
If I'm ever going to be married, I'm gonna have a cake like this. Who cares about big, white, boring cakes, this one is just amazing. The cake is from an american wedding. More details: 
Nintendo has just announce the European launch date for Wii, the 8th of December. The console will cost roughly 175£, approx. 1,800 DKK including the game Wii Sports, not bad when you look at the PlayStation 3, which will cost more than 5,000 DKK. I'm planning to buy Wii on the launch date, I've actually never been so hyped about a console before.
For some reason I like to write more about movies when they suck. I've just seen Red Eye, by Wes Craven, creator of the Scream-trilogy, which, sadly, is pretty obvious in the movie. Red Eye has a surprisingly well beginning, the first 60 minutes are entertaining, with satisfying acting and interesting scenes, but suddenly the movie turns into a typical Wes Craven-slasher, in which the murderer chases the main character through a house. The bad guy is suddenly an idiotic maniac with a big knife, even though he was as calm and cool as Tom Cruise's character in Collateral, and if that movie ended with Cruise chasing Jamie Foxx with a big knife, while he was tripping over every single obstacle, you wouldn't be able to take it serious either, right? It's too bad, because Cillian Murphy's character is very cool, he handles the situations perfectly until the end of the movie, where he's suddenly acting like a retarded maniac.
So after about an hour the movie turns into a Scream-like piece of crap, with pathetic plotholes and everything. The main character even starts to use cliché punchlines and she has suddenly overcome the overwhelming fear she was suffering from in the first 60 minutes of the movie. With a blink of the eye, the movie is finished, even with a typical, oneliner.

To keep the site updated, because I'm bored and because I'm suddenly earning a lot of money, here's an entry about the stuff I've bought lately.
Quake IV and GUN for 100 DKK each in Merlin. Been playing both games a little, interesting gameplay in GUN, although the mouse-controls seem to have some sort of acceleration, so if the cursor is dragged outside the screen it happens in a violent, uncontrollable speed. It's still pretty entertaining though. Quake IV is very cool, nice graphics, off course, and exciting levels. Although, as most FPS-games these days, the difficulty-rating is a joke, it's not even that challenging at the hardest option.
70 DKK in Blockbuster, couldn't help myself, enjoyed the demo so I had to buy the game. The tactical possibilities are entertaining, although they could've been implemented better. Also, the AI isn't working optimally, the soldiers don't always understand how to hide behind obstacles.
I also found the Island, cheap, in Merlin. I saw the movie in the cinema, wasn't that impressed, but still a fine action-movie… and Scarlett Johansson stars in it.
